I have attached a few before and after photos. Obviously we have a western set of furniture, and I added felt pads to the legs of the chairs and table.

I like the feel of this product beneath my feet – similar to real tatami. It is a different feeling than carpet or a sisal rug, which I have have also used.

I think the panels of igusa tatami would make a great wall covering or wainscot providing sound absorption in a bedroom and the nice smell of the natural material.

It wouldn’t be a problem if a sofa were placed on these tatami mats, but the mats can sag if you use a sofa with legs similar to those of a table where more weight goes to their legs.

Our advice is that if you use a sofa of such type, you may put any plates between the legs of the sofa and the tatami mats, for example, in order to avoid the concentration of the weight.
