Tatami joyfully received in Hawaii

Our tatami has arrived in Maui.
As I’m currently in Seattle I haven’t seen it personally, but the family laid it out immediately.
It fits perfectly and helps bring out the feeling of being in Japan more, so our whole family is thrilled.
We heartily thank you for such prompt and thorough service, from ordering through to having it in our possession.

We’re going to have a huge group of family and friends over for New Year, so I’m really happy that they’ll be able to see it too.

I don’t know if affection for Japan grows stronger for foreign descendants and Japanese people living overseas, compared to those living there. But we seem to live out our daily lives with Japan constantly in mind.

My husband’s great-grandfather emigrated from Okinawa, so the whole family was ecstatic after I explained Ryukyu tatami to them.
I think it gives them a feeling of relief to see Wa-Kokoro’s tatami laid out within our otherwise Westernised living environment.

We live in a pretty close-knit community so apparently, we’ve had quite a few neighbours over out of interest in checking the tatami.
I’d love if this means you’ll be getting more orders from Maui in the future.

Live daily lives with Japan constantly in mind

It truly makes me so happy to hear that, by airmailing them tatami made to fit their room from Japan, we’ve been able to make Japanese customers living overseas happy.

Easily getting into contact with people so far away is something only feasible due to the expansion of the internet, isn’t it?
