The laid tatami matting that our company makes to order is structurally identical to tatami covering Japanese-style rooms.
The materials that comprise our tatami (like its surface and core) are the same as the professionally specified materials typically used by tatami stores.
What sets our company apart is that we manufacture our tatami to meet the room size measurements made by layman customers.
Although it may be laid tatami matting, it’s manufactured to professional specifications.
The production process is as follows:
First, the customer measures their room.
↓
They then send these sizes to our company via email or fax.
↓
We then take that size and calculate how many tatami mats will be needed, and reply with the estimated price.
↓
Once the estimated price has been confirmed with the customer, we begin manufacturing their tatami.
↓
The tatami will be complete in about a week. It will take a further two to three days of transport to America with DHL.
↓
The customer then lays their received tatami mats.
This room is one a customer measured and laid out the tatami for.
By asking our customers to take on the measuring and laying, usually carried out by tatami craftspeople, we’re able to keep personnel and travel expenses to a minimum. This means we can focus on providing you with high-quality tatami made to professional specifications and with great quality material.
We manufacture our tatami down to the millimetre, meaning we can provide for even the most precise of measurements.
