■ Warranty Period
Our warranty period is one (1) year from the date of delivery.
■ What Is Covered (Manufacturing Defects Only)
The warranty applies to manufacturing defects under normal residential use, including:
- Significant structural warping of the tatami core
- Sewing defects or major surface separation
- Clear initial manufacturing defects
If any of the above issues occur within the warranty period, we will evaluate the case and provide appropriate support, such as repair or replacement.
■ What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered under warranty:
- Natural color changes of igusa (rush grass) due to sunlight or aging
- Wear and tear from daily use
- Damage caused by improper installation or misuse
- Mold caused by excessive humidity or improper ventilation
- Damage due to water exposure or flooding
Natural igusa tatami is a living material, and gradual color change from green to golden beige is considered a natural characteristic, not a defect.
■ Maintenance & Long-Term Care
Our tatami mats are designed for easy installation and long-term use.
Unlike traditional fixed tatami flooring, our modular tatami mats are replacement-based products.
If the surface becomes worn after years of use, partial replacement or new production can be arranged.
We recommend:
- Regular ventilation
- Avoiding excessive moisture
- Rotating mats periodically for even aging
Proper care significantly extends product life.
