Q1. Before ordering tatami mats from our company, what kinds of concerns or troubles did you have? What was your desired solution to them?
I needed tatami mats for photographing images for our social media (instagram @chikitea) since I am locked out of Japan and can’t get into my tatami room there. I also like the aesthetics to create a Japanese meal.

Yes, I bought after one question was answered about the size of placemat. I couldn’t find that on your site.
Q4. What points (which characteristics) were the deciding factors which led to your order?
NEED! And that it was totally authentic, made in Japan and Awaji san spoke English to make the transaction very easy for me.
Q5. After actually using our tatami mats, what are your thoughts and feelings on them? Please provide your honest impressions.
I really LOVE them, but I did have to remove the brand tag on top. I don’t allow any brand in my home and even remove all food from packaging to create more harmony, and get commercial out of my environment…so I’m very sorry to take off your brand. The backing shows on the side so that is a little bit of an issue. I have placemats in another home that do not have any backing. While I like it to protect the surfaces, I think it needs to be cut a little smaller so it doesn’t show on the side.
Q6. Any other opinions or views you would like to share with us
I really love the mats!! When I build my next home we will purchase tatami for our rooms. I have sent photos to Awaji san via email.
