When looking at the quality of tatami, it is important to discern the quality of the soft rush.
Soft rush is an agricultural product. As in the case of industrial products, these are not all uniform.
Soft rush grows to a length of approximately 140cm, and the part used for tatami is the central 90cm-110cm part.
