Interested in buying your Tokyo series tatami mats but was wondering what the maintenance of the product is like.
How are you supposed to clean it and preserve it to optimize its product life?

1. Thank you for your inquiry. Tatami mats shouldn’t get too much sunlight. Also, don’t wear shoes when you are on tatami mats. If you follow these general rules you don’t particularly need to do anything to take care of your tatami mats.

Which series of tatami will yoU recommend for cold tile floor? I want to put a tea table on top. Thank you.

2. Basically you can choose any type of tatami mat. But if you’re putting a table on the tatami mats, we suggest that you not choose the IGUSA series tatami mats. Compared with other types of tatami mats, tatami mats made with natural rush grass have less durable surfaces.
