The characteristics of soft rush are that it absorbs and expels moisture, this providing the function of regulating the moisture in the room.

Igusa has a distinctive fragrance, which is loved by Japanese people. However, some foreigners have an aversion to this smell.
The smell of soft rush is strong at first, but gradually weakens as the months pass.
With aging, the color of soft rush changes from green to yellow.
